KDD Cup Workshop

As planned, we will hold a KDD-Cup workshop dedicated to the contest, where the winners will be announced and describe their methods. The workshop will take place on August 21st (morning session) as part of the KDD conference in San Diego. We plan a vibrant meeting with an opportunity for exchanging experience and opinions about the dataset and the contest. Please note that attending the workshop requires registration to the KDD conference; full instructions are given here

Presentations

Presentations at the workshop will be by invitation. We will invite the leading teams to publish at the workshop, either as an oral presentation or as a poster. Poster presenters will present their work during the major poster sessions of the KDD conference. Additionally, workshop publications will be considered for a special JMLR W&CP volume. In order to publish at the workshop, at least one author must attend the event. Invited authors will have to notify us by 5 days since invitation on their intent to participate, provide a name of a registered KDD author, and the title of the paper. This is in order to allow us to invite alternative speakers in a timely manner. Authors should avail themselves to a rapid submission and review process, given our tight timeline.

Instructions to Authors

Workshop submissions should be formatted as a double column ACM SIG proceedings paper (Tighter Alternate Style) with 6-8 pages. Submission date will be July 17 (unless authors were invited late). In order to save space and duplicate dataset description, authors are encouraged to to use the following citation for a detailed description of the dataset:
